RTAA Ticketing Hall Expansion CMAR | Reno, NV
As a subconsultant, CME was the owner’s representative and provided Special Inspection and materials testing for the 10,000 square foot expansion of the ticketing hall to enhance passenger wayfinding, queuing, and circulation. The expansion included structural steel modifications, elevator relocation, fire riser room relocation, upgraded utilities, roof replacement, new restrooms, and finishes. This project included the airport’s first-ever public art commission. CME’s scope of work included conducting owner/architect/contractor progress meetings, submittal review, and response to Requests for Information (RFI), schedule review, progress payment reviews, change order negotiation and acceptance, financial management, 1704 Special Inspection, and materials testing.
CME was contacted after the start of construction to provide owner’s representative services. We quickly reallocated Joe Mamola’s workload to mobilize him on site. He met with the project team to become familiar with the contract documents and status of construction. These meetings identified opportunities to develop tools for the financial management of the budget, including owner’s contingency, CMAR contingency, and Anticipated Added Trade Events (AATE).
